Okay so I did what I told my kids never to do. And I had a kid in the car to remind me that this is something I would never allow my own kids to do and look at me now. I had ICE CREAM for breakfast. Kathleen was telling me about this ice cream available at a gas station in Bismarck. We had planned on going to try it all weekend and never did. Last night I checked out the brand to see if they had it in Iowa and I did not see it any where close to me. I was very disappointed I was leaving ND without trying the ice cream. Well God was with me :) He looks after me even in my times of ice cream need. We were on a half tank of gas this morning and after we picked up Lee we stopped on the east side of Bismarck, at the very gas station with the ice cream. I went in the store and saw that the ice cream shop was closed but than decided to ask the manager that just came from the back. He was more than happy to open it up for me and get me ice cream. It was probably the look on my face when I asked (pouty lips and eyes lashes flapping). As he was serving me we discussed what a great breakfast @ 6:30 AM that ice cream can be and what the benefits it has for the morning. Than the kid behind the counter joined in on the conversation commending me for my great breakfast choice. All the while Crickett was scrubbing hard to rid the bug juice off of our windshield.
