I love this.
My Dad would sing this song to us kids and play it on his harmonica. I wanted to pass this on to my grandkids. My nickname for Zoey is "Sunshine" and I have sang the short version of the song to her since she was a baby.
When Jax was born I knew I could only have one "sunshine" and so I call him my "shining star". I sang the song to him as well.
My kids and my grandkids will not know my Dad in this world but in Heaven they will hear him play his harmonica and look up to see him start to sing the familiar song :)
