I am not enjoying this snow that we have, but I especially hate the freeze that is going on here. When I am at home I have been yanking up the heat to help me feel like I am in the tropics.
Yesterday I went to my ophthalmologist to see if I could have an enhancement on my lasik. My vision has not been the best lately. While people my age are losing their near vision I have been losing my far vision. Wearing glasses while I drive is not a big deal, however I am needing them more often and I don't like that. After getting dilated (I will be dilated for a week now) and numerous tests, the ophthalmologist told me that an enhancement will not help my situation. He told me, I have cataracts. I have to wonder if this is something genetic. My father and my sister both had cataracts at a young age. So now as I think about it and what sucks is that I paid a lot of money to not have to wear contacts or glasses and I am back to wearing them....YUCK! He gave me some contacts to try and experiment with. I am going to see if I would prefer mono-vision. I will first try only putting in the right contact (as soon as my dilation decreases). I plan to do this for a week. Than I think I will do both contacts for a week. On the third week I will use the left contact only. My dominant eye is my left (which probably means I should have been left handed but my mom did not want a lefty :) That is why I have terrible hand writing, LOL. Well until my cataract mature enough for my insurance pays for their removal I will not be liking this. I just pray they mature fast like!
Adoption happenings.
The Dusenberrys have been able to be in contact with us through email. It is great to see the pictures of their smiling faces.
